Seriously, protesting against it is silly. The number of new cases meanwhile spikes in Poland after letting wedding reception back, mask-free. People are ignoring coronavirus that is here. Wearing a mask in public places seriously limits the spread of the virus.Originally Posted by The Lawspeaker

Or they "spike" because it's politically convenient. Gotta keep the population afraid and in chains, you know ! As for tests ? They test for corona in general so if you ever had a cold, it will show itself and is there anyone in the world that hasn't had a cold ?

Back from a much-deserved vacation, Chris dives into the latest coronavirus data and several insights are becoming clear:
1) Covid-19 is so infectious (R0 of 5+) that it will pretty much make its way through a population regardless of the efforts to avoid it
2) But, it only severely affects a small percentage of those who get it
3) And, more interesting, it's appearing that herd immunity happens quickly, at around 15% This leads to the conclusion that lockdowns may not be worth it. While they may slow the rate of infection spread somewhat, the economic damage they do can dwarf the benefits of that delay.
