It’s not just a flu like some people believe. Maybe the symptoms were less severe for some but not for others. I was fine the first time I contracted it but the second time was worse. (Omicron variant). It wasn’t unbearable but it would have been for a vulnerable person with a condition or the elderly. The aches and sciatica were awful. I don’t recall ever experiencing that with the flu. Then it affected my mood (possibly due to hormonal changes). A lot of women reported disturbed cycles after that. I think it can be likened to an immune response to an exotic bite. Not a simple seasonal flu. However, I do still believe people had the right to choose whether they wanted to be vaccinated or not. It’s their personal choice.

The family has now been under house arrest for 11 months. Non-complying residents on another atoll, Atafu, were allowed out several weeks ago, but they are not permitted to attend gatherings or meetings.There are no instances of Covid-19 on either atoll.

The Covid-19 vaccines are experimental. They have only received provisional approval around the world, because it takes at least eight to 10 years to get full approval. As part of China's efforts to control COVID-19, provincial authorities have been using a contact-tracing "health code" app to monitor people's movements.

The app works off atraffic-lightcoding system. The user scans a venue's QR code, and in turn, their own QR code turns either green or red. If green, they have the all clear to enter; if red, they might have COVID-19, and must quarantine.

But a recent wave of protests in Zhengzhouin central China has led some people to fear the app is being used for a different purpose: to monitor and target people who have taken part in these protests.

In Canada, fully vaccinated gets redefined to "up to date vaccinated". More confirmation that, according to these people, no one will ever be fully jabbed. What commoners will get instead, is a lifelong imposed subscription to these products. Starting from autumn, another series of boosters are "recommend", cause "we all want to avoid having to go back to more restrictive public health measures".

I read yesterday that the Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos says, Canadians will be required to get a COVID booster shot every nine months to remain "up to date".
