Anyway, afro-mexicans in most cases are tri-racials, pred amerindian tri-racials and zambos. The concept of afro is biased in Mexico because most afro mexicans are around 20 or 30% SSA(something very visible) while salvadorans are homogenous 8% SSA and that could explain why are so dark-skinned. A last thing, afro-salvadorans are inexistent if you notice, in all Mesoamerican nations blacks or black admixed communities are stored in the atlantic coast(due the slave trade ports and then the anglo-caribbean migrations), El Salvador lacks of territories in the caribbean(and their was a law that didnt allow blacks to enter to the country until 1990)but salvadorans share something in common with nicaraguans, hondurans and costa ricans from places around the pacific coast and is that they tend to have an higher SSA to hispanic standards so we can conclude that during colonial times; blacks were introduced in the pacific coast in a enough amount to be almost inexistent in those places after 3 centuries of miscegination, but enough to set a visible SSA.
