Default Is your average Latin American a Colombian ?

If you were to mix all Latin American countries up into one what would be the average based on genetics(like they’re percentages of Euro, Afro and Amerindian ancestry) ? So far the only study that i have seen that has even done a broad one on Latinos were the ones who lived in the states where for the most part they scored at least 65% European then the rest Amerindian and African in that order

Colombia. One extreme is Uruguay and the opposite extreme is Bolivia.

    It would be Puerto Rico
Brazil is already the largest nation in Latin America and most of their population is Euro and SSA with minor Amerindian
Also keep in mind that we have Haiti which is a very black nation

I think the blend of all nations would create a very similar admixture to Puerto Ricans, a split between SSA and Amerindian with maybe 70% European

Interesting, it would be like my job where every Latino co-worker is pretty much a Mestizo or Mulatto in varying degrees and phenotypes. Colombians and Venezuelans are pretty similar in genetics to Puerto Rican’s so it’s not that far off.

Amerindian countries like Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Guatemala

Black countries like Haiti and Jamaica

White Countries like Argentina and Uruguay

All these countries mixed up would probably result in a population like of what your saying. These countries are just the extremes and few, I’m looking for one that is an intermediate between all of them. Colombia is where I think it’s a bit more segregated(not as in Jim Crow or anything but differing regions have different genetics, such as Choco compared to Bogota) where as Puerto Rico is just a splash of everything.

Colombia, Venezuela and Puerto Rico seem to be the best representations of what an average Latin American genetically is.

Especially Colombia having some areas that are Pred. Afro, Mulatto(San Andres), Pred. Amerindian, Mestizo neither leaning to much heavy into the Euro side like Argentina or Uruguay but close aswell.

I think the French Caribbean is predominantly Black, with Haiti being the most recognizable of them all

Colombia is too Amerindian and not similar to Puerto Rico
Colombia has many outliers from very black people to very amerindian, hardly any whites but a sizable castizo population

    Puerto Ricans are around 71% European + 17% SSA + 12% Amerindian
their blacks are not very black, no Amerindians out there, they have more people who are over 80% European by a large margin than Colombia
and less people who are less than 50% European than Colombia

no similarities at all genetically or demographics wise

Venezuelans are too triracial so no

so for me it would be Puerto Rico when it comes to average

Damn but so many Latin Americans are on average pretty Amerindian wouldn’t that make Colombia a better contestant then Puerto Rico, or is Puerto Rico really more representative since it’s 70% Euro, 15% Afro, 15% Amerindian like so many studies have about what the average Latino is genetically

Which country do you think all Latin American would pass in all while that same country being at least 60% Euro, 20% Amerindian/Afro, 10% Amerindian/Afro.

Honestly I always thought it was Colombia because culturally they always seemed to be Halfway between a Caribbean, Central American and Amazonian country with one portion being Andean(not geographically but culturally like as in Incas) in the Southwest since they’re pretty much related to them.
