Typical for the self-hating Germans not to spend a penny on its own defence force. They might just as well scrap the whole thing now that they're at it. As for the Poles ? Good show. It's not a bad little crate. With a bit of luck, the F35 will become what the F16 and F104G were before it: a multi-tool used by much of NATO.
The Germans first had a lot of problems with the F104G but they later on learned to fly and love it and basically the whole of Western Europe (except for the French) flew it:

Make no mistake - I love the Eurofighter Typhoon but I think the concept came too early. Both sides of the Atlantic could have saved themselves a lot of money during the 1970s to 1990s by pooling resources.
