The irony of this whole thread is that Serbs have an overwhelmingly higher percentage of paleo-balkan thraco-illyrian YDNA than do Bosnians/Bosniaks. Bosnians/Bosniaks are probably one of the most Slavic they come as far as South-Slavs go.

Political term Bosniaks is created in 1993. It's not ethnicity, but religious group or umbrella for Serbian speaking Muslims.
Bosnian and Herzegovinian Muslims adopted Bosniaks umbrella after 1993, later Sandžakian Muslims and even some Gorani adopted Bosniak umbrella. In Sarajevo and Novi Pazar there a tendention for bosniakization of Gorani, Torbeshi and Pomaks. Bosniak should became umbrella for all South Slavic speaking Muslims, not only for Serbian speaking ones.

Well that would be silly to refer to Gorani, Torbeshi and Pomaks as "Bosniaks" because this term has nothing to to with Macedonian-Bulgarian Muslims, and everything to do with Serbian Muslims from Bosnia/Serbia/Montenegro.

Otherwise, what is the point of a Serb identifying as Serb and a Bulgarian as Bulgarian when you're both South Slavs? Theres obviously some cultural, genetic and linguistic differences between Bosniaks and Torbeshi/Pomaks/Gorani. They're about as related with Bosniaks as their early medieval ancestors. Thats no reason to abandon their identity for a manufactured Muslim-Serbian one. Maybe Gorani can adopt it. However they are a mix of Serbs and Bulgarians occupying what they call Gora in Kosova, not Bosnia, Serbia or Montenegro. Of course now Montenegrin Muslims don't like the term Bosniak and call themselves Montenegrin instead.

Every tribe nation and peoples were once one family before differing and segregating themselves. So, enough of time has passed that theres really not much in common between south-west and south-east Slavs.

Same as Arvanites, Arberesh and Shqiptar are all rooted from the same ethnos but have evolved separately for centuries. South Slavs even longer.

Can't trust a man who wears a top with no pants. Pants and no shirt is just badass and a sign of high testosterone.

I vote for Illyrian seafood and crab legs. It's about the food. Can Slavs cook seafood?

Bosniak name adopted Muslims from both parts of Sandžak - Montenegrin and Serbian https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandžak
In Serbian part of Sandžak almost all Muslims adopted Bosniak name, and in Montenegrin Sandžak % of declared Bosniaks among Muslims is lower.

Bosniks (Bosnian, Herzegovinian and Sandžakian Muslims) see Gorani, Torbeshi, and Pomaks as related people with them and some of them even as Bosniaks.
Thread on one Bosniaks forum, tittle is "Pomaci, Goranci i Bosanci - edin soj" (it's on Pomak/Gorani speech and means - "Pomaks, Gorani and Bosnians one people") https://forum.klix.ba/pomaci-goranci...c76bb2420516b3

Well Bosnians are also calling themselves Illyrians and saying they are not Slavs. I wouldn't pay much attention to what a forum says. Most Pomak, Torbesh are of Bulgarian descent essentially, with a mix of Albanian and Turkic undertones.

Same cannot be said about Bosnians/Bosniaks(outside of Sanxhak w/Albanian origin) which really are simply Muslim Serbo-Croats. They have mostly just Slavic Y-DNA and same or even more Slavic autosomal than Serbs.

Bosniaks from BiH don't give a fuck for Serbs and Croatians, they see Arabs and Turks as closer to them then Serbs and Crostians.
Sandžakian Bosniaks are mix of Serbs and Albanians. They dislake Serbs, and many of them have distance towards the Albanians. Sandžakian Muslims are more turned to Islam, they are more traditional, and they are bigger turkophilles than Bosniaks from BiH.
