Britain's not going to be the next Singapore. Singapore is very authoritarian and capitalist. Not sure how it has any similarities to Britain at all. It is economically and socially very different.
Banners or flag-waving are prohibited in the EU Parliament which is why Nigel was cut off. Anyway people have different views and many people have applauded Mairead.

Really whether you are in the EU or not is not going to change that we live in a globalist world. The EU is just a way of European counties pooling their resources and clout. Why would a country be better off on their own in this globalised world?
It will be interesting to see how Britain goes in the next couple of years. Even though they will leave the EU today nothing much will change over the next 11 months because they will still be effectively part of the EU but they aren't going to get any favours from the rest of the world in negotiating trade deals. The real litmus test will be when they have really left the EU. So many pitfalls ahead.
