MSM predicted the end of the world and US economy when Trump was elected president and annouced his trade tarrif plans, the opposite happend.

Time will tell. The UK though has the majority of their trade with the EU so it will depend on the deals they get with other countries. Personally I can't see other countries leaving the EU. Brexit was achieved on a mountain of lies and the reasons why the UK left the EU was mostly on factors like immigration and not EU policies. Cameron would not have expected that people would have actually voted to leave the EU. Most people would not have been really knowledgeable on what they were voting for. Immigration was a big factor and national sovereignty is a pie in the sky argument. Britain still had the same say in a lot of their policies whether they are in the EU or not. Now that is one of the big lies used in Brexit. Britain still had more immigration from non-EU countries than EU countries and that was completely up to them and nothing to do with the EU. British politicians have just used the EU as a scapegoat for whatever they wanted but when they leave the EU will things magically be better?

The Irish did reject the Lisbon Treaty but they voted yes when they were a given a second chance because they originally voted no for reasons that had nothing to do with what they were voting for but when the Treaty was explained clearly to them the second time and they were given opt outs they voted yes.
