Proto-Siberians migrated to America many thousand years ago. Their Amerindian descendants couldn't preserved traditions about Siberian homeland for a long time. Only anthropological and genetic research established their affinity to Siberian aborigines, especially for Ket and Selkup people, who speak Yeniseian languages.
