This whole discussion is about "superpower" meaning? If so there's something important about it which is superpower isn't necessary first world or rich countries. Russia before Mikhail Gorbachev used to be superpower, half of the planet was under USSR influence, even soviet population starving themselves.

Nowadays I think only US and China are superpowers, same works for Europe (together) individually speaking Germany and France don't look like it used to be about influencing other regions (maybe France a little more because Francophone Africa)

No. It is 7.16 trillion dollars. West Africa alone has more than 2 trillion dollars. Add South Africa and it is already larger than Brazil.

France will only rule the world if the Caliph chooses to make Paris its capital, but I don't see that as likely, it's a dump. If I were the Caliphate I'd choose Istanbul, it's more traditional anyhow.
