Best Australian Director is either Peter Weir or Bruce Beresford.

Best British Director is undoubtedly David Lean, Hitchcock was good for his time, John Boorman and Christopher Nolan are also good. Ridley Scott has to be included.

Pantelis Voulgaris (Mikra Agglia, Nyfes) : I love his movies.
    Giorgos Lanthimos ( The lobster)
Giannis Smaragdis (El greco, God loves Caviar)

Can't think of any other greek directors i find distinctive to complete the top 5.

Non greek ones would be Darren Aronofksy ( The fountain, Black Swan), Pedro Almodovar (Los abrajos rotos, Volver), Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth <3, The shape of water), Zhang Yimou ( The house of flying daggers, Hero), Woody Allen
