Some suggested there might be notable differences between Northern and Southern Moldavia. Do you think that's the case?

Yes, they are intermediate between Northern Moldavia and Wallachia. And that also applies to the territory in Republic of Moldova. For example the Moldovans from G25 come from Stefan Voda district in Republic of Moldova and they are more South-shifted than most Romanian samples.
