    Default Immigration to Brazil

    1. I imagine how many of these of russians are other easter euro nationalities and other minorities since Brazil have way more poles and lithuanians than russians themselves. Even ukraines and romanians are almost on pair with russians. Russians are probably only like 800.000.

    2. Its interesting how after 1970, the largest part of portugueses and italians became old people and started to die.

    3. Its funny and expected how spaniards and "russians" are always so big and present but never get real attention.

Interesting, the Russians (Ukrainians must be included) are mainly in Rio Grande do Sul. Surprised with US-Americans and Romanians.

Many "Confederados" immigrated to Brazil after the end of the American Civil War, they want mainly to the state of São Paulo and founded cities like "Americana", and they also contributed to Brazilian culture, one of their legacies is the fried chicken, which is very tasty.

Paraná also was the main destination for russians in Brazil, the state is basically the center of all slavics in Latin America with few exceptions.

Também existe um número significativo de americanos aleatórios em outros Estados.

Em inglês diz que são 180.000 e em Portugues algo entre 50 e 300 mil americanos e seus descentes no Brasil.

They are Germans of the Volga, in the city where I was born were Bukovine-Germans (Bavarians) but Poles and Ukrainians came with them. Bukovina is currently part of Romania and Ukraine.

I only hear about Russians in Rio Grande do Sul- State

Where are the statistics for this video coming from? They're completely different from what the Brazilian census' reported as foreign-born individuals and seem way off. I have not seen a breakdown by birth place for the 1872, 1890 or 1900 censuses, but below are the ones I could find and it shows Italians in the lead in 1920, with Portuguese thereafter, Spaniards third until 1970 when they are behind the Japanese and finally Germans behind them.
