I'm pretty sure it is still practiced in villages in many parts in Mediterranean Europe. Maybe not killing, but beating and humiliation. Full blown blood feuds still exist as well.

It is part of the tribal mentality, Southern European and Balkan peoples who never divided on tribes, don't have such practices. I think Scots and Irish had this barbarian thing going as well.

I know for a fact it's practiced in the Balkans . Gheg Albanians whether Muslim or Catholic do honor killings and such . It's more of a cultural thing than religion.

Southern Italy, maybe. Albania too. I have heard some stories about Corsica and parts of Greece.

All of the above mentioned + Montenegrins. All these are places where family and tribe means everything, and the places which have organised criminal syndicates.

For example, Bulgarians never had tribes and women always have been given freedom, so vendetta and honor killings are unknown, neither did we have organised crime until 1990s.

Ingushetia is a most patriarchal and traditionalist republic in Caucasus. If woman had sexual relations before or outside marriage - this is a shame to family.
Before Russian annexation Caucasians lived practically in conditions similar to Wild West of USA. Islamic leaders such as Shaykh Mansur or Imam Shamil tried to impose Sharia Law on us but failed. The only period when Caucasus was a safer place is a USSR (especially Brezhnev's times, when living conditions became better). But after a dissolution of USSR former republics (except Baltic states) became a mafia-states run by criminal-backed dictators. This situation led to degradation.
