Casualties and losses at the Battle of Lepanto (1571):
At the end of the battle, the Christians had taken 117 galleys and 20 galliots, and sunk or destroyed some 50 other ships. Around ten thousand Turks were taken prisoner, and many thousands of Christian slaves were rescued. The Christian side suffered around 7,500 deaths, the Turkish side about 30,000.

* At Lepanto, more than 12,000 Christian Slaves (whom served as oarsmen), were liberated from captivity and degradations under the whip. The Ottoman Sultans were bent upon bringing Europe under the heal of the Turk, as well as the Religion of Islam, but Lepanto and Malta brought that dream to an end. Lepanto and Malta should be remembered by school children, in modern day Europe.

Whatever, tuff guy! So, your tuff guys didn't fight there? So what? Regardless of who fought there, they undeniably served the interests and ambitions of the Ottoman Sultans. And, my point was that Europe stopped the rising tide of the Ottoman Empire, at such battles.
I'm sure that the Sultans would've loved to cuck Protestant Europe under their boot, as vassals.
At that time, Algerian Barbary Corsairs owed their allegiance to the Sultans (dedicated to his interests and ambitions). In that capacity they were a piece of the empire. You probably have no problem taking credit for their victories, but disown them anyway.
As for Janissaries, the fruit of Islamized Children, plucked from Christian Parents, taken away from people whom nurtured them, and groomed to do everything in their power to destroy the very people who brought them onto the earth. You should show some gratitude to them, because they helped deliver Constantinople into the hands of the Sultans.
