That is not necessarily true... Laure Junot, Duchess of Abrantès wrote the book "Memoirs of the Emperor Napoleon" in which she claims Napoleon was of Greek Decent on his Fathers side. Laure was born at Montpellier, the daughter of Charles Martin de Permond and his wife Panoria, to whom during her widowhood the young Napoleon Bonaparte made an offer of marriage. Her mother, Panoria, was descended from the Comnene family, the last Greek dynasty from the Empire of Trebizond. The Martin de Permond family, after various vicissitudes, settled at Paris, and Bonaparte certainly frequented their house a good deal after the downfall of the Jacobin party in Thermidor 1794.

This comes from the French, not the Greeks. This tale is French born.

    Realy? I didn't knew that

What is certain so far is that he was from Corsica
The Talmud tells us that the only language the Torah could be translated into elegantly is Greek.

He was a Souvlaki and a half man.

No, however Corsican Greek Demetrio Stefanopoli was a notable officer of Napoleon and there is some undocumented modern Greek history in Corsica and Provence.

Yeah... he was definitely from Corsica. I've never heard of this tale till yesterday. I thought it was very interesting. I have no idea if it's true or false. I would love to hear what everyone thinks. The more I research, the more weird details about Napoleon I learn. Apparently, Napoleon would get mad and curse in a language that was not French, Italian, or German.

Half a man? I mean, I do know on the fact that he's 172 cm tall which isn't small or anything, especially back then, but for Northern European standards he would have seen as short since they're very tall and all.

I meant that he was short, if he was really 172cm he would be rather average-tall for the lot of Europe back then.

There isn't such a notable difference in height between European countries.

    Table 5

Anyways, this is irrelevant anthrotardism to the topic.

Never heard of this tale before.
Napoleon wasn't speaking greek, but it seems that he was a fan of greek classical literature.
