There are some French and Italian loanwords. But Romanian is much more Slavic influenced than Bulgarian is Romance influenced.Originally Posted by Wild North
Bulgarians, Macedonians and Romanians are Slavicized paleo-Balkan + Slavic mix with some other minor influences, Romans didn't have any significant part in the ethnogenesis.

A large part of Balkan genetic pool is, more or less, local in general but calling it ''Romanian'' is ridiculous, since:
1) The term ''Romanian'' and Romania as a state didn't even exist back then
2) Dacians who are part of Romanian genetic pool didn't inhabit the entire peninsula
3) A large bunch of the Balkans was Thracian and Illyrian
