BrahMos is the fastest supersonic cruise missile in the world. It can be launched from submarine, ships, aircraft, or land. BrahMos is developed by a joint venture between the Russian Federation's NPO Mashinostroyeniya and India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) who together have formed BrahMos Aerospace. The missile travels at speeds of Mach 2.8 to 3.0. There are four version of BrahMos Missile is available Ship Launched, Land Launched, Air Launched, and Submarine-Launched. The supersonic missile is capable of carrying conventional warheads of up to 300kg for a range of 290km. The Brahmos missile has already been inducted into the Indian Army and Indian Navy, and the Air Force version is in the final stage of the trial.
