Say that it wasn't Slavoj but Hegel speaking who was a Christian or watch Teutone's video that makes pretty much the same point using a more conservative rhetoric. The mindset that you would judge the man for his affiliations rather for what he says is pretty idololatric/paganic.
But I didn't judge his philosophy. He just annoy me. I never said he is an idiot

I like the fact that agnostics/atheists start to identify as cultural christians and find value and importance in Christianity as philosophy.

Rather than Atheists that wanna outlaw christian symbolism in public facilities and politics.

Think of iconoclasm in Byzantium and the power of Christianity manifested through the unity of the Christian folk/oikoumene, where a lot of modern Christian conceptions (especially among Protestants) see Christianity as a tool to secure a place in paradise in some alternate dimension.
Zizek sees Christianity through a Hegelian/ Schelling lense with the backdrop of Plato and Aristoteles (btw Orthodox Christianity is heavily influenced by Platonism with some Aristotelian thought). Unfortunately, his book on Christianity "the fragile absolute" is not known for achieving the goals of its author.

If you are interested in Zizek beyond his take on Christianity feel free to contact me. I studied many of his books, especially his most academically useful one "The Sublime Object of Ideology".

If you are interested in taking part in a study group about Plato's republic also feel free to contact me.
Being Greek is an experienced grounded into nation, not consumption.
