Well, he pretty much turns Christianity into Zen Buddhism where nothing is certain with somewhat of a leftist/communist bias but i think he makes some interesting points. I also think that Christianity today is seen in a pagan way which is not its true essence and it wasn't the case in medieval empires. Think of iconoclasm in Byzantium and the power of Christianity manifested through the unity of the Christian folk/oikoumene, where a lot of modern Christian conceptions (especially among Protestants) see Christianity as a tool to secure a place in paradise in some alternate dimension.
