Yeah, but these names are usually for Arabs and Jews or those who have ancestry from either two. But, yeah, he doesn't look MENA at all.

I don't think so, it's the same with me, I have a Russian/Swedish first name, but 0% ancestry from these places.
Having a foreign first name doesn't necessarily mean your have foreign ancestry, many parents simply choose one they like, regardless of origin, regardless of not being related to the name's ethnicity.

Not in Spain. Here we use a lot of Hebrew or biblical names (María, David, José, Juan, these are ultra-common), and many more much less common (Israel, Moisés, Ezequiel, etc).
This happens in every country, not only here.
There are some Arab names as Ismael or Fátima.
They have absolutely nothing to do with ancestry.
