Is there even a point to be patriotic of a country you feel nothing for?

Today I was in a very historical part of the town and it was completely run down. Filled with foreigners and Germans with no historical awareness that dont care about history or culture. They dont feel anything for the place they live at, I do care about it, but my care is limited to the Germany thats in the past, historical places, customs and mentality. How are these things even worth anything if 90% of the population dont care about them or see these things worth to be replaced?

More precise: Why should I feel connected or proud to a country that I feel disgust for in the current way it is? I just feel pride or sense of inherence towards the history. I feel disgust, resignation and fear looking at the present and future of Germany.

Realistically this country is lost, no indicator speaks for anything else, be patriotic means being naive and deny the reality, right?

If just foreigners would be cautious enough realizing the streets they walk through are hundred of years old and the buildings and traditions too. People died for those things. But if Germans dont see it why would immigrants do?

Culture can evolve in a certain way, I dont mind materialism. I mind mass immigration and disgust or disinterest or even hate towards your closest ancestors and history by native Germans. But on the other hand I feel hate and disinterest towards the Germany of today, so who am I to blame?

While this may be the case with the average joe, I think you'd be surprised how many people still appreciate these things. Don't expect anything from foreigners though.

Can't speak of Germany but I consider old style patriotism is somewhat pointless. So I don't care for Serbians as whole, I just care for my closest surrounding: family, friends and neighbourhood. I don't give a shit what happens 3 blocks away. Also I can say I couldn't find right emotions and sentiment with all those historical figures of this country, be it poets, philosophers, writers or something else.

The AfD was an insignificant mini party 7-8 years ago, and now it is very popular and will be more popular in each year, the peoples are waking up everywhere in Europe and in Germany too.
