Turkey pretty much lost all of her excuses and power in Syria and etc, and really nobody is buying it anymore. The only thing we can hope now is for Assad to kick the curb out of the US-backed Kurdish terrorist stranglehold in NE Syria and free the Christians and others from them.

Plus: they alienated Europe so much at this point that any assistance offered would be deemed political suicide as both policy makers and population are extremely fed up with Erdogan (and even "fed up" doesn't quite cover the sentiments) and increasingly it's not just Erdogan people are fed up with, it's Turkey itself.
