Interesting. The Sicilian quarter does show.

You can run the nMonte oracle there.

Yep, I thought the same. And I think this bears out the quarter Pomeranian too, right? If her grandfather had been from Württemberg, I think she would plot farther west, in Switzerland or North Italy. Most of the calcs seem to show Austria or Hungary.

I believe I posted the oracle, although the distances seem to work differently than on GEDmatch, so I'm not really sure how to read them.

Surprisingly, they just gave her a couple genetic communities, Pomerania and Brandenburg/Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Further confirms the MPE, I'd say.

It's a nMonte oracle, it's more accurate than a conventional gedmatch oracle, it does not try to fit your ancestry in blocks of 2 and 4, but try to divide your DNA into all populations available. For that reason it's usually better to know exactly what is really there.

The more populations you have, the more mixed you are. I remember seeing Grace O'Malley's oracle and she had something like 2 or 3 populations, showing her DNA is very homogeneous.

Most new worlders will have tons of populations there, unless they have a single ethnic breakdown like Grace (she's fully Irish).

Certainly true in this case. I played around on Vahaduo, and I couldn't get any really close distances, even using known ancestral components. The only close ones used Balkan populations to account for both the Sicilian and the Slavic.
