Flooding in parts of England and Wales has been described as "unprecedented" - but scientists say the bleak reality is that climate change will lead to more erratic weather. The government said today it can't protect everybody. So is a new approach to the climate emergency needed? We’ve spent the day with families evacuated from their homes, who are now counting the cost - financial and emotional.

Venetians did the same To Escape From Huns

I always think of the Venetians as Dutch with a speech impediment that makes them talk this weird little language. We do have a lot in common with them. Also with parts of Tuscany. In fact,the Dutch Provinces modelled themselves on the Italian city states.

They do.. but the group portrait of officials is something that came from Italy by way of Flanders. It wasn't a thing here in our neck of the woods.
