Kalash have a lot of Botai-related ancestry which inflates their steppe admixture if you don't reference it in your model. The most steppe among South Asians are the Khatri and Jatts, but they are not comparable to Europeans.

Do you mean the West Siberian HGs? They were identified as 20% East Eurasian only if I remember correctly. With the rest being EHG and ANE.
Is that type of ancestry present in Central Asians?

Yes they are like... 30% "European", then the rest is really far from Europe.

Druze/Lebanese have less Steppe but are more European in that comparison, they have very high EEF admixture + some Steppe.

Some Iranics like the least Asian admixed subsets of Tajiks can be even more steppe than Southwest Europeans. Rushan, for example, are around half Bronze Age North European. I'd say an Iron Age Germanic would feel culturally closer to a Iron Age Iranic (who were Tajik-like) than to a Lebanese, but Near Eastern influence profoundly changed both of us.

Maybe that happens because GEDmatch sucks to detect a lot of new stuff that is being released in the last 5-7 years.

Yes I agree, culturally it's a steppic/nomadic culture while Lebanon was since a very remote time urbanized and "sedentarized". Cities like Byblos are one of the oldest proper cities in the world.

I believe it is already included in the 'South Asian' component, but GEDmatch isn't accurate for deep ancestry. WSHG and Botai weren't particularly closely related to NE Europeans though.
