East Siberian Russians from 1958

According to the metadata of the photos in this thread, the photos are from the "East-Siberian group of Russian Expedition (1958)" ("Восточносибисркий отряд Русской экспедиции (1958г.)"): http://collection.kunstkamera.ru/en/...dition=3665009.

I didn't cherrypick the photos, but I simply included all photos which clearly displayed the face of one or more person.

Each photo is linked to the source of the photo at Kunstkamera.

Here are faces in the photos that were detected by OpenCV:



Below are morphs of images of faces where I estimated the person in the image to be between 15 and 45 years old, where the image was fairly high-quality, and where the person in the image was facing the camera at a fairly straight angle.

Look like regular Russians without visible admixture from Siberian natives.

Interesting from what area actually they are? just to know are the are newcomers or old resettlers, are they mixed group of ethnic russians from different areas or resettlers from concret Russian place

The English-language metadata didn't include the location of the photos, but I now noticed that in the Russian-language metadata the location was listed as "Иркутская область, Братский р-он, Подъеланка д.". Which is here between Buryatia and Krasnoyarsk Krai:
