What's up with Jamaica? It's a (relatively) homogeneous country, so I'd expect it to have less homicides.

When Jamaica gained independence in 1962, the murder rate was 3.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, one of the lowest in the world.[4] In 2005, Jamaica had 1,674 murders for a murder rate of 58 per 100,000 people.[5] That year, Jamaica had the highest murder rate in the world.[2

Man, I took half of a hour to study Brazilian homicide statistics and as I predicted before you were completely wrong about that.
1. South Region is not as safe as you think. Your state Parana is more dangerous than DR (mulatto country) and Rio Grande du Sul is the most dangerous state in entire Southern Cone, it is 4x more dangerous than Argentina and 10x more dangerous than Chile. It is even on pair with Rio Du Janeiro.
2. As I said before demographics explosion is bullshit, I just found out San Pablo which is on pair with Mexico City talking about demographics got the lowest homicide rates in Brazil, also Minas Gerais is safer than South as a whole. So as I said before, it has zero to do with demographics.

In Rio Grande do Sul, crimes began in Porto Alegre capital (approximately 25% of mulattos), blacks use drugs and are frustrated by nature.
Santa Catarina has the lowest homicide rate in the country. Paraná has a brown SSA migration from São Paulo and the capital has 4.5 million inhabitants.
DR has a higher per capita income and a lower unemployment rate than Brazil and its most populous capital has only 1.5 million inhabitants, it is not possible to make a direct comparison.
In Minas Gerais, homicide rates are highest in the north, where there is a greater SSA population. São Paulo-Capital invested heavily in policing (as a New York) and that state has 15% SSA. The Mexican police are bad and corrupt.

DR is 90% mulatto even so RGS seems a shithole in comparison
What is your source? Cause mine says it is San PabloSanta Catarina has the lowest homicide rate in the country.
So people from lowest homicide state increase homicide rate in your state? Have you perceived how fuck the logic it is?Paraná has a brown SSA migration from São Paulo and the capital has 4.5 million inhabitants.
Again, we are talking about rates per 100,000 inhabitants not absolute numbersDR has a higher per capita income and a lower unemployment rate than Brazil and its most populous capital has only 1.5 million inhabitants, it is not possible to make a direct comparison.
So? North or South, Brazil is pretty violent even toward many cholo, trirracial or mulatto countries, fact is that overcrowded city called San Pablo got the lowest homicide rate. So again, demographics has nothing to do.In Minas Gerais, homicide rates are highest in the north, where there is a greater SSA population. São Paulo-Capital invested heavily in policing (as a New York) and that state has 15% SSA. The Mexican police are bad and corrupt.
