It's not difficult to be the first in Latin America.

This exactly happens in Europe with the syrian refugees that came with no women.

There are many peaceful countries in Africa and guess what. Yes, they are inhabited by black people.

Unfortunately in the last years drugs have arrived in Uruguay (coincidence or not at the same time than massive imigration). Before that, we only watched drug related problems on TV from other countries.

The murderers happen almost exclusively in certain zones outside the capital that are known to be the centre of that chaos and crime. These places are far away from society, so the average citizen don’t feel the threat. Still this is incredibly sad, we used to rank #1 as safest country.

Dejen de hablar por hablar. Uruguay ya tenía una tasa de homicidios similar previo a la legalización del cannabis.

DR this good growth rate and low unemployment. Brazil is reasonable considering the 10% of unemployment.
Bolsonaro failed. Homicides bagan to spike up again in early 2020.

It's only logic considering homicides had been increasing since September, 2019. If current trends continue, the homicide rate will go back to what it was in 2018 or somewhere close to it. Also, there are several news of cities experiences a lot worse murder rates in January 2020 compared to January 2019. You can check it out yourself. And I am not even talking about Ceará.
