Post actual sources stating that Northern Italians have significant recent Spanish ancestry and we can talk. You can't do that. Know why? Because it's not true.

And historically there's nothing that proves that.

Northern Italy is a very large area and actually Northern Italy and Iberia aren't that close geographically.

Here are my distances on Global 25 for 100 populations.

Notice how I am closer to the populations of northern Italy than any in the south.

Southern Italians are genetically closer to the populations from the Eastern Mediterranean and Levant.

Out of curiosity, what do you get when you model yourself with the Portuguese average + Lombardy?

1-5% is recent. The Spanish influence on Milan and other parts of the North ended in the 1700's, with the nobility small amount of mixing from trade and the end the creation of the republic that is a fair number, similar to the impact of Normans on various regions.

Southern Italians have significant Levantine influence in phenotype, while most Iberians vary little from Occitan people in facial structure, just being darker.

Even if it was true (it's not, but whatever), 5% of recent ancestry would be impossible to shift the whole North Italian cluster towards Iberia.
