    Everyone!

Mr. G and I are preparing plotting points and a spreadsheet for a new thread about Hungarian genetics. It will be for the newly updated calculators Dodecad K12 b and HarappaWorld. The choice was inspired by talking to other Hungarians and 17571imre, that these calculators would be interesting for modeling Hungarian genetics accurately with the new updates.

I'll make a thread when we are ready to start plotting.

I'm not nailing Mr. G to the duty of plotting everyone either if something goes wrong; we will figure it out regardless.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's results and primary/mixed mode populations!

Anyone have any idea on what could be going wrong with the updated Dodecad k12b PCA I'm trying to plot?

I have been using my data and the data of Mr.G for testing, but it seems like the populations all map so oddly. For example, zooming in we see Uzbeks closest to Ethiopians and Ethiopian Jews. What?

All I did was copy over Dodecad K12b updated spreadsheet data into https://vahaduo.github.io/custompca/ for the source, and under PCA PLOT clicked "RUN PCA" then "PLOT PCA". I also put our data in under the "projected" tab.

I also don't understand what X: PCA 1 and Y: PCA 2 mean. Adjusting them radically changes how all of the populations cluster.

Can anyone explain what could be happening?

I am trying to figure it out now. Right now all I have is some weird overlaps with populations that clearly don't belong next to one another (Uzbeks and Ethiopians are closest to one another?), as you can see from the pics above. I can't seem to figure it out and all of the examples online or the Eurogenes blog about custom PCAs don't relate to what I am trying to do.

I can try deleting everything but the "Hungarian" sample and seeing how we all spiral around it, but that removes all of the other ethnic populations for reference too and if there is something wrong with how I am entering the data, using the calculator, or adjusting the X-Y PCA numbers (1-10, which I also don't understand the significance of), then there isn't a reason to even trust the results.

If anyone has suggestions or knows better, I am all ears and would be more than happy to plot everyone. I'm also open to other plotting tools if there are better ones.

I'm still very Balkan shifted, but I'm closer to Hungarians now on these calcs. One thing that I've noticed: in general I get less Atlantic and more East-Asian than other Hungarian members here (?)

If you are of largely Hungarian ethnic background your K13 Baltic is by far one of the very highest in any Hungarian results I've seen (and I've seen way over 200), otherwise quite normal percentages, maybe with the exception of rather low West Asian. Do you have any known Slavic grandparents?
