Default Is the question "do you prefer blondes or brunettes" inherently ethnocentric?

After all, given that most of the world's races/ethnic groups are overwhelmingly dark brown/black-haired, isn't asking a man if he prefers blondes or brunettes actually a tad daft, given that most humans come from ethnic groups that are brunette by default?

I know people now use brunette for people of all races but blonde/brunette is really something that is related to Europeans. Brunette also is related to brown hair in its original context. They were also feminine terms. A man is not a blonde nor a brunette.

Now brunette has lost all meaning because it was never meant to describe a Chinese or Nigerian lady. Brunette now encompasses an extreme amount of variety including light brown hair which was never originally included in Brunette.

    Brunette

Anyway whatever I say is not going to change how people use these terms today.
