Little bit surprised that I end up so close to pure Left-Libertarianism, since I mostly consider myself as a Moderate Democratic Socialist, and believe in strong democratic state institutions.

    These are the ideological positions:

Alright. Let's do it. Let's see.

    Your Political Compass

    Economic Left/Right: -4.25
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.21

Maybe it's indicative in the way I see the role of the government: I see them as a uppity servant that sometimes needs to be punched in the snout in order to remind them who is boss. I believe in traditional morals but the uppity servant should have no business in legislating them: we can do that for ourselves through our own behaviour. For the rest, I do believe in certain controls over the economy and in either the nationalisation or breaking up of large monopolies. I consider companies like Shell, DSM, the NS, the banking sector, the telecommunication services and KLM as well as the entire infrastructure such as the ports, the railways, road network and the airports (particularly Schiphol) to be national strategic assets to be owned by the people by name of the State and in the case of the banks to be divided up between a large state consumer bank (such as the Volksbank today) and smaller cooperative banks or those who operate under a certain prudence and care for the wider society (Triodos and ASN come to mind).

Wake up and smell the coffee.
