so basically i'm temporarily helping out my family at our gas station by working there for a couple of weeks. A group of four retarded high schoolers or early college students come into our store during my shift.. After walking around and buying nothing (probably stole something minor actually lol and hid in their pockets), they just head out of the store and yell 'allahu akbar' four to five times.

I didn't know how to react haha. they ran off while i was walking to the door to atleast teach them how to insult people correctly. I'm hindu lol. even if they have to insult me, could they do it accurately lol? there's no shortage of jokes regarding indians/hindus.

I'm not saying muslims should face this instead of me or something, but its interesting how i get hit with stereotypes that are not even related to me in the first place.

yeah. btw i dont think muslims or arabs should face this shit either but idk its still funny how ignorant americans can be. but again they are young so hopefully they'll get educated in the future

Lol. nah man colorado is pretty much like most midwestern states. colorado has the third highest rate of bachelor degrees in the US after massachusetts and DC. thats what surprises me more. people are relatively educated and well off in this state.

yeah our store is a little outside the denver metro area, past the suburbs as well.

Have those teenagers been white? It happened to me too in austria. That one guy said when he beats me Allah wont help me or that I look like the son of Osama bin Laden and similar. Also in a polite way I was often asked by medical stuff If I eat pork if they should give me pork to eat when Im in hospital. Thats why I really badmouthed muslims when I was 20 because I had to "proof" Im not muslim. My problem was I never said Im Gypsy. Once I wanted to say it, but then I was scared. One guy said all gypsies drive caravans and I said not all gypsies do it and wanted to say that I dont drive a caravan, but he then said loudly "yes all gypsies do that and they all steal" then I didnt said Im Gypsy. Once a Albanian guy said "we albanians and the serbs made peace but we will never forgive those dirty gypsies who stole from albanians and then he said "are you a gypsy" I was scared and said no, but he likely knew Im lying anyways. Balkan people recognise that Im Gypsy easy.

wow im sorry about that. people shouldnt stereotype all gypsies like that. thats illogical to assume such things about a group overall. and push those stereotypes onto you even though youre only partially gypsy.

and yeah those teens were white. but i have seen many blacks, mexicans assume indians and arabs are similar or from same region.
