discrimination in mexico is more about classism, in this video you can see how deep classism is in the country
the girl for example explained how both sides of her family do not like each other because of how different they are, from their way of talking, their way of thinking
her mother's side is poor while her father's side is rich

you can get discriminated for being from another mexican state, for being fat, for being short, for being too masculine (such as the fitness girl), for being foreigner, for being ugly, for being gay, for being poor, for dressing like a poor person etc, just so many things but in general, its majority of the times due to classism, not saying there arent cases of racism because I am sure there is but it has more to do with socio-class

Don't listen to many Latin American members here, they don't live in Latin America. LA is one of the most racist regions in the world, even being majority brown. The thing is that a good portion of this ''brown'' majority doesn't see itself as brown or is not seen as brown by other Latin Americans.

And it also depends on which country you are. In Mexico or Peru, indigenous features will be more discriminated against, while in Brazil blacks would be targeted. All of them pose as multiracial and multicultural countries, but they are actually quite eurocentric in most of their standards.

That's the worst thing about some Latin american countries. Don't they have a concept of being racially aware? Don't they realise that they won't be accept by European nations regardless of how much 'euro' they have?
