Yes they are true berbers and yes they were the native people of north africa before the muslim conquest (you have to know that moroccan arabic speakers are genetically similar to berbers they are simply arabized and because of their ignorance or hatred they do not feel as indigenous as imazighen).

Yes northern moroccans differ slightly from southern moroccans : south moroccans tend to have higher level of ssa and iberomaurusian and less european/med components (with the exception of soussis who tend to have very low amount of ssa compared to other moroccans)

And no it's not true that moroccans are heavily ssa admixed in general it's between 5-15% with some outliers having less than 5% and others having more than 15% :

Do you saw autosomal results of Berbers with light phenotype? I'm curious if they are somewhat different than brunet majority?
Especially I'm interested if in low K calcs they have this 20% SSA which Berbers usually have, which is replacement for Iberomaurasian for me mainly. And Iberomaurasian isn't negroid in my opinion.
If yes it will be proof such amount of SSA is wrong.
