It's safe to assume some 80% of Russian population look stereotypical Slavic no matter the region (except Caucasus). Hence the prevalence of this look on TV.

I meant blonde or light brown hair, light eyes and very pale skin as typical Slavic, not Caucasoids, I don't think Russians are Mongols or some similar crap, if you meant that.

With dramatic change in perception that happened in Russia during 1980-90's there is no universal opinion anymore. Too many lies and myths were created and many still believe it. So all you could hear are personal opinions of specific individuals that not neccessarily represent majority.

Politics has little do with my opinions. In Finland we have no public opinions. I can live without canonical truths, it doesn't bother me.

You're asking for shitstorm mate. There are still quite heated debates taking place in Russian public sphere. I have a vague sense of general tendency in public opinion but from my experience communicating with Finns you not going to like it.
