Default Is it racist wanting to see ethnic people when visiting a country?

In the recent years i have visited multiple cities, Paris, London, Berlin, Frankfurt, Istanbul and i just arrived from Stockholm. When visiting these cities, i cant help to feel like the whole experience is not genuine, its like im visiting one of those chinese cities that have copied european architecture. The only one i felt genuine was Istanbul, amazing bazars, beautiful mosques, people dressed in folk suits and filled with Turks.

Stockholm was absolutely the worst city of all that i have visited. Awful modern architecture, the whole city is grey and a huge amount of people who dont look swedish. At least in Paris theres still a bunch of architecture but sweden barely has kept any of the old casque.

It just feels like when you go to a japanese restaurant and you gent attended by some indian person. IT JUST DOESNT FEEL LIKE THE REAL THING.

I personally have lost all hope about visting main European cities, their just dont feel “insert name of the country” anymore.

Am i the only one who feels that way?

Cities are overrated. If someone wanted to visit Ireland I would tell them to spend a day in Dublin and then go down the countryside. Far better and more authentic. Cities now everywhere are the same old same old. You need to get away from the cities.

The Morrigan (also Mrrigan or Morrigu) is one of the most mysterious figures in Irish mythology.
The name Morrigan means 'phantom queen' (or 'great queen') and describes a Goddess from old Ireland that was very associated with war, destiny, fate and death.
She was a shape-shifter and frequently appeared as a black crow, an ominous sign for those who saw her prior to battle. Legend has it that the Morrigan was in fact a triad of sisters, often named as Badb, Macha and Nemain, while the Morrigan is also remembered as the triad of the land Goddesses riu, Banba and Fdla.

    Its common sense.

If I go to Tokyo I do not desire to see Pinoy Ghettos.

When we visit Paris on the other hand, we see this:

    Depends.

You are only lost if you try to find authentic national culture in any Western big city.

Everywhere else on this planet you dont got these problems.

All European cities now attract all the immigrants. You can still enjoy the architecture and sights but you will have a lot of non-locals. All western cities are the same. You would need a time machine to go back 30 years to see locals in capital cities.
