Why do so many Scandinavians look larger than other europeans?

Many Scandinavians look much larger than other europeans. Larger heads, noses, broader shoulders etc. Not sure how to explain it but they look "rougher".

I'd say 25-30% of the people in Scandinavia have these traits. I live there so i know.

Where does this look come from? I read somewhere that Scandinavians have a much higher CM variety than other europeans. Could this be the reason?

I had difference experience. I found Scandinavians (especially the women) to be shorter on average than for example German or Dutch women. Judging from my personal observation only.

Edit: I noticed the thread is not about height alone sorry.

I've noticed a long time ago that Scandinavians are the most robust of all Europeans. My guess it's because the Cro-Magnon derived phenotypes, especially unreduced ones, were best preserved over there as a result of selection.

If we ignore the height then and focus on the overall body.

I have not seen any other europeans ( i haven't been everywhere obviously but anyway) with such large heads, broad shoulders and thick noses. As i wrote, 25-30% have this "rough" look here.

I personally know some meds who are 185-200cm and 100 or more kilograms and some people with CM phenotypes who are skinny and gracile af so I dont think that's crucial.

The only thing I noticed is Scandivians look much more athletic on average than any other people. But I think you guys tend to work out more than other people and are much more active, which I like about Scandinavians.
