Default The Good Side Of Catholicism?

There are many bad things that could be said about catholicism through the history, certainly.
However there are good thing too, such as the Saints.
The Saints are noble soulds that did many sacrifices and ended as martyrs in many cases.
They are good examples of Christians and should have its recognization, not like the majority of "christians" today who cannot do anything more than judgement, which is like the pharisees.
I still remember that when i was kid, always when i went to visit my aunt's home, i used to pray in front a painting of Saint Lucy of Syracuse, asking her to relieve the pain in my eyes. I was alwaus or mostly always healed when i did it! This is a sweet memory i am embarassed to have forgoten for so long but also, grateful to remember.

I'd start with the fact that its the basis for modern civilization, although I feel like as morality becomes more of a cultural factor than a religious one (it already has in a lot of places) the need for it religion as a whole becomes less and less

All the stuff the Roman Church inherited from the "pagan" world. Imagery, litanies, 3D statues, taper candles, incense, feasts, processions, holy wells, the cult of the Blessed Virgin (that assimilated things from the Isis cult and other goddesses), vestments, mysticism, etc.

Hellenistic Isis, 2nd c. CE. Note Her blue starry mantle, inherited by the Blessed Virgin.

Catholic means: Universal and "Gospels- Tradition-Autorithy".. ( Why autorithy ? to avoid bad interpretation of the gospel and the teachings of the first fathers of the Church .. that were the people who really knew the first apostles.. ...and therefore they deserves highest trust )

    Catholic means UNIVERSAL...

It is not the Vatican's fault if divorce is not possible .. if the female priesthood is not allowed ..

THE VATICAN FOLLOWS THE TEACHINGS OF THE FIRST BISHOPS...( and Gospels )

The fathers of the Church and the first Bishops ( II-III-IV centuries ) "decided" what Christianity should be to correspond to the teachings of Christ.

I know very well that some bishops- priests were and are not good at all.. But they are humans...and sinners.. like everyone..

Uhm...all believers (true Christian believers) are saints. It's a corruption of meaning and intent to claim only those are "saints" who are classified as such by popes. Not at all the original meaning of "Saint". In the New Testament disciples of Jesus are called saints. If you are a disciple of Jesus, saved by his blood, then you are a saint. If you're not a saint, you can't really call yourself a Christian.

No, they don't. This is a myth. They've institutionalized the Catholic church and created their own culture around it, and retained the ancient pagan shrines and abominations underneath the Vatican, regarding them as sacred.

Do you know that the "difference" between Anglicans and Catholics was very small ? The biggest difference was the autorithy of the Pope.. From some points of view there were bigger differences between catholic and orthodox (filoque.. and the Pope ).... than between catholic and anglicans ( the Pope ).... The problem with the anglicans is the fact they lost the traceability of the apostolic succession as the times goes by.
Till recently there were some anglican priest that required double ordination from a Catholic or Orthodox bishop to have absolute certainty of the apostolic succession..
In the beginning almost every anglican bishops had the true apostolic succession.. but, as the times goes by, they lost the traceability of the apostolic succession....
    ..

In my opinion they could find the way to jon all the christians under the same Church..
