"Some of the first newspaper ink that was devoted to Bridgegate came in the form of a local traffic column, in the Bergen Record, in New Jersey. It was September 13th, 2013. The local Traffic Columnist wrote up a weird and unusually terrible week for commuters who were trying to drive from New Jersey to New York ... at the most heavily trafficked bridge, the George Washington Bridge ... the traffic was so stopped, you could park and get out of your car. It was completely stopped, not moving at all for hours, and hours, and hours ... Actually, the traffic had been that way, all week long. It had started on that Monday, it went on day after day, that week. It not only stopped traffic on the bridge, it gridlocked all of the surface streets, in the town of Fort Lee."

They need to build another bridge really to accommodate the people travelling back and forth, but really, America's infrastructure has not changed much since the 1920's, and Trump isn't doing anything about it except giving fake promises to his supporters that will never be fulfilled.


Not saying that Trump didn't do anything good during his presidency(especially on the recent events with the Taliban of Afghanistan), but it's not enough to change the livelihood of the average American citizen easier and so on, and he pretty much given everything the Israelis demanded of him over the years which shows that he's Israel first, not America.

Sadly, the week long catastrophic George Washington Bridge traffic jams (September, 2013), in New Jersey, weren't do to a lack of upkeep, faulty engineering logistics, or any other maintenance factors; rather, it was due to political retribution, by the former Governor of New Jersey (Chris Christie). Governor Chris Christie was angry, because the Mayor of Fort Lee (Mark Sokolich) refused to endorse the Governor. During the traffic fiasco, assistance was delayed from helping to find a missing child, an elderly person died from a heart condition, and other medical emergencies were put in jeopardy. The problem was in fact deliberately exacerbated.

When reporters first began inquiring about the lane closures, the Port Authority maintained that the lanes were closed for a traffic study. But the Wall Street Journal soon cast doubt on this claim — they quoted sources saying there was no study, and published internal emails where Port Authority executive director Patrick Foye harshly condemned the closures. The story revealed that Foye — appointed to the agency by New York's Governor Cuomo, not Christie — ordered the lanes reopened as soon as he heard about the closures, on the morning of September 13, and that he even feared the closures could have broken state or federal laws.
