In some countries or cities, owning a house is a whole struggle for anyone making a middle income. Spain is one of the most painful examples. Despite having a much lower income than the Americans, Spaniards must pay way higher prices for their houses. Cities like Barcelona are more expensive than Miami, in Florida, even though the Spanish salaries are half as much as the American ones. Is there any reason why houses are so expensive? Spain has an obvious demographic problem that is the crux of many social issues the country is facing these days.
