Pink lagoon (Alicante/Valencian Community)

The strange pink-purple colour of the Torrevieja lagoon is caused by pigments of the Halobacterium bacteria which lives in extreme salty environments. This is also found in the Dead Sea and the Great Salt Lake. The colour is also caused by an alga called Dunadiella Salina, which is responsible for the bright red colour of the lake seen at certain times of the year. The Artemia Salina brine shrimp, which lives in the lake, is also red because it feeds on the bacteria. You will also see the flamingos turn a lovely shade of pink because they eat the shrimps. The salt is produced from the south-east corner of the pink lagoon.

Muy bonito, pero ya hay que ir pensando en otra industria e ir erradicando el turismo, pandemias presentes y futuras, no, cada uno que se quede en su país aquí tantos millones de turistas no conviene, se tardará pero hay que ir pensando en otros temas. Hemos vivido cientos, miles de años sin turismo, sé que para algunos se hace difícil la idea pero hay que ir pensando ya en ello.

La Ciudad Encantada, Cuenca.

The Ciudad Encantada (English: Enchanted City) is a geological site near the city of Cuenca, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain in which the erosive forces of weather and the waters of the nearby Júcar river have formed rocks into distinctive and memorable shapes.[1]

The Roman Ruins are surrounding by the Natural Park of The Strait of Gibraltar with the big dune that I show, what make this Ruins Unique with a fantastic charming that can transport to the visitors to an atmosphere very close to the original ancient roman times.

On the other hand this Ruins has not been posted as Natural Wonder but complement of this Natural Wonder that we have here.
