I dont think that they represent average dominican people of 1960. They are predominantly european and more european by far than nowadays dominicans. They are probably from hight class. Even in La Habana which sufered a Detroitization, with black masive inmigration, and White masive emigration, you find nowadays many more whites and prodominantly europeans than in Dominican Republic. Then it is imposible a racial change from people of the photos in 1930-1940-1950 to nowadays dominicans without a masive inmigration. I dont think that 90% of dominican mulatos and dominican blacks are inmigrants from Haití or anglocaribean islands. Their ancestors were also in Dominican Republic in 1930-1940-1950.
