There's no center. You're either middle eastern or European, you can't be both regardless from having influences from the other side

He didn't say European or Middle Eastern. He said Western or Eastern. Obviously your definitions are different than mine, so it seems.

Bouzoukia came in Greece more than a hudred of years after ottomans, and they do not represent all of Greek society

Why bouzoukia and not folklore, entehno, kantades etc which are all Greek music but western?

And gyros is heritage of people who came from anatolia, its not part of the Greek tradition

It's all relative. I feel like we're a little bit more western than Germanics and at the same time quite eastern compared to Turks.

I mean, there's many interpretations and opinions on this topic. No point in arguing. Western civilization has been influenced by the Greeks, but that doesn't mean Greeks themselves are Western. Just another opinion. This can go on forever though.

What defines western civilization? When I think of Western civilization I think about Renaissance, individuality, individual freedom, freedom of speech, democracy and other stuff. I think Greece mostly embrace these values (Russia also) so in my opinion both Greece and Russia are in that sense part of 'Western' civilization.
