As often I might represent small minority here .... so no matter what; I still ''love'' our small bats.
I have seen two different species of those back at home. I guess there are 3 others (5 all together here) but rest of them are pretty rare..
A bit bigger Northern bat
This flies 3m - 20m high... above land ... often following same ''flying track'' ... for example like number 8 many times.
And bit smaller Daubenton's bat.
This one flies just above lakes's surfaces (often closer than 1m).
Those can be recognized via where they hunt/eat/fly.
One bats here can eat 2700 mosquitos/night. Which humans made mosquite trap can do the same? Nope, they actually are nature's own (natural) mosquitokillers .... if not pure ''killing machines''!
DNA tests have also showed that they also eat some other pest insects.
They are usefull/helpfull little creatures .... both to humans but also farm animals.
So we have built some ''homes'' for them (close to cowhouse).

Some of my threads:
you know that I live in Lubuskie...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Festun...r-Warthe-BogenIt is also the largest European underground bat refuge, giving shelter to some 35,000 bats of 12 species in the wintertime.
