For a nation of 10 million people they have impressive achievements.

15th in number of Nobel laureates and third in Eastern Europe after much bigger Russia and Poland.
4th in medals in International Mathematical Olympiad.
9th in medals in International Physics Olympiad.
8th in medals in International Chemistry Olympiad.
8th in medals in Summer Olympic games.
    And others.

Are Askhenazi seen as Hungarians in Hungary?

No offense, I am not a Hungarian so i am just asking, because the majority of Hungarian Nobelists have an askhenazi Background

Nobelists yes, but most students at science olympiads and athletes are ethnic Hungarians. Also many of "the Martians", a group of Hungarian and Jewish scientists in the first half of 20th century, were educated in Hungarian universities before going to Western Europe and USA.

Great state tradition, as Hungary was important European power and much larger than it is now for most of it's history. Always opened towards the west and attracting immigrants from all Europe.
Strong education system and lastly, Hungarian language is very analytic, sophisticated, suited for conceptual thinking and intellectual work.

When it comes to Eastern Bloc nations, they will always be overepresented in Olympiads because they were some of the only nations participating. Hungary, Romania, Poland etc. have been participating in the Physics Olympiad since 1967 while America only came in 1989 for example.

Ethnic Hungarians also discovered vitamin D, and invented the Hydrogen bomb

The International Mathematical/Physics/Chemistry Olympiads originated in the Eastern Bloc. Hungary has participated in the IMO since 1959, which was the first year the IMO was held, but a lot of Western European and East Asian countries have only participated in the IMO since the 80s or 90s: https://www.imo-official.org/results.aspx.

Hungary's average rank is 19.5, but it's still the fifth highest-ranking European country after Russia, Ukraine, UK, and Romania.
