    Afshar girl from Iran

    Something about my tribe:
...amongst other smaller tribes and locals, Shah Abbas weakened the Afshar tribe, who were scattered around the south of the Attrak River, and decamped them to the territory of Azarbayjan. Here, they dispersed within the limits of Bijar to Zanjan, and were famously called ‘Afshar-e-Qasemloo’. This coincided with the period when the Afshars were also present in such areas as Khuzestan and Kohkiluyeh. It was in this period that the tribe formed the seat of power in the territory that it inhabited. The census taken of these tribes in the year 1128 AH, revealed that approximately 110,000 persons of these tribes were engaged in the government army, but were not on the pay-roll. Their honorary services were taken advantage of in the infantry division whenever there was war. During the reign of Fathali Shah Qajar, about 36,000 tribal persons served in his army of which 60% were infantry forces and the rest were riders.

This song is a poem from an Alevi from Kirikkale in the 15th century to a Sufi order from Bursa

Hacı Bektaş Köçeğiyiz We are the pilgrims of Haci Bektaş
Edep Erkan Yol Bizdedir the rules of good manners are with us
Yetmiş İki Dil Bizdedir 72 languages are with us ( praying in your motherlanguage is big part of alevism)

An "Ağit" (from aglamak =to cry, can be translated as mourning) of Afshars in Turkey, there were rebellions of Afshars and other tribes in the Adana-Osmaniye region in the 19th century, because after slavery ended in America, the British needed cotton and the Ottomans wanted to turn the region of where the nomadic Turkmens lived to cotton fields, but they refused to become settled and started a rebellion
"Kalktı Göç Eyledi Avşar Elleri"- The Afshars land started to migrate
"Ferman pâdişahın, dağlar bizimdir" "The rules belong to the Padishah but the mountains belong to us"
