Many rural indians just argue that its been done like this since the beginning so shitting out in the fields is nothing abnormal, etc. Their mindset needs to change. However, in the urban areas, its very low to non existent.

Bangladesh isnt a small country actually by population. Its VERY dense. Has 160 million people and is the 8th most populous country in the world. Bangladesh is muslim, Srilanka is buddhist. both have huge hindu minorities too though. Pakistan is muslim too. thought theyre not as impressive as banglaadesh or Srilanka in this regard, they're doing better than India and Nepal forsure.
Religious superstitions is indeed a major problem in India which is why the BJP had won the elections twice over the past decade. And yes, hygiene is a complete must in Islam.

I know. In Judaism, Jews are forbidden to eat pork since they consider pigs to be dirty animals to consume among other things.

I think some religions were developed to help regulate human behaviour in an early agricultural society, so there are positives attributes. I just don't believe in the supernatural/paranormal aspects of it (Life after death, Demons, Angels, Men being created from Mud etc). But It seems Semitic people's were super ritualistic, even the non abrahamic cultures

If you are overwight, I recommend you go to India.
Salmonella is so widespread in particular products tested before entering UE market that locals must be immune to.

For most of the world's history and for most of humanity hygiene was practically nonexistent. Even in Europe in the middle ages people barely bathed at all. That only started changing recently and yet that's conveniently forgotten. It'll take time for some of these countries to catch up to modern western standards of hygiene.

That being said, when people move to the west, they need to stop that shit immediately. Shower every day, wash your clothes weekly, wear deodorant, and don't eat food with too many exotic spices. Its really all you need to not smell like crap. Yet I've noticed foul/strange odors coming from both south and east asians.

I have to say China (even though I think the Chinese people are so friendly).

Not sure how India is winning since when is the last time a virus endemic came out from it? I can't recall any viruses and diseases that originated from India. So I think they're more hygienic in comparison. Not to mention, they have strict dietary laws and have a thing for vegetarianism and botany. They are more environmental than the Chinese, and so I would naturally view them as more sanitary. Of course, I'm not say they're the cleanest people in the world.

Tropical populations tend to sweat more as a compensation for a hot climate. But everyone needs deodorant.
