While Scandinavia is cool, I think countries like England, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain... have more interesting cultures, even if some of these are less advanced and more bureaucratic compared to Scandinavia.

Yes. And as you mentioned Newton, it's hard to be more influential than him. With Principia he's arguably the greatest and most influential scientist of all time, Einstein and Maxwell are right there behind him. So top 3 physicists of all time are British, Scottish and Jewish.
